Mitt största problem med Jaiku just nu är faktiskt att man inte kan se @replies. I övrigt är det på härlig nivå och folk har senaste 1-2 veckorna blivit mer aktiva här också =)
Which reminds me that I have to ask them if they've also expanded the API in terms of replies. There might be an Jaiku iPhone application in the works... (no, not me ;)
@lemonad: No limits! Yeah! :D Actually, I'm fine with how Jaiku is set up. I guess I've gotten used to the limitation for the initial post. However, I wouldn't complain if the initial post were allowed to be longer. :)
As for trying to integrate with Twitter...sigh Pretty annoying that it has become the standard. But I just read some post (I think by Scoble?) saying that Twitter is supposedly the only thing that celebrities will use, since it's the easiest, which I guess I understand. I also see that most of these celebs are just going to use it to broadcast (spam) their thoughts without much interaction with followers, which is what Twitter does best. Other services like Jaiku and FriendFeed are more geared towards actual conversations, so they're less likely to attract the ADD-generation. :P

hopefully the work by the poboxpress folks will be added back to JaikuEngine and that way we get access to mentions of our names (@replies)

@ymb: I'm hoping that will be the case!

@ymb @lemonad Sounds good. Hope it won't be too long before that happens

Jaiku iPhone app? YES, PLEASE! :D
Oh yeah, I signed up for the poboxpress site, but was dismayed to find that even replies are limited to 140-chars. Ugh.

@jezlyn: We'll see what happens — I'm supporting in the sense that I submit patches for the API ;)

@jezlyn: It's due to the Twitter integration they're striving for, I think.
Personally, I would almost say that it's time for Jaiku to go the other way since the sms restriction is gone. Let's have twice what Twitter has! :)

@lemonad I find the idea of Twitter's limitations becoming some kind of de facto standard sad but understandable. Hopefully @svemula will see this.
